At Disciple Makers Bible College, we follow a strict code of conduct. We are firstly answerable to Jesus Christ; thus, He takes the highest place in this institution. The rules which we follow are in accordance with this. Everyone is required to respect our Christian standards. Respect is the common ground from which we all start.

We welcome students from all backgrounds. Students are required to respect everyone, regardless of ethnicity, status, sexuality, or religion. All religious backgrounds are welcome. Nevertheless, we are a Christian institution; thus, it is imperative that students respect our Christian values and show reverence for God. No disrespect of other students, staff, or God will be allowed.  

Please, acknowledge the sacrifice that our teachers make as they work for free. Do your best so they see that their work is worth it. Please, treat them with respect.

Please, address all teachers by their title and last name, unless otherwise instructed.

Students may address each other by their first names. Nonetheless, address other students or community members respectfully, and refrain from using offensive slangs to address anyone at Disciple Makers Bible College, whether jokingly or not.

Each student is required to take responsibility for his actions. It is the student's duty to behave well, and put his best effort into his studies, and interactions at DMBC.

Remember to be kind to yourself. And treat everyone the way you would like to be treated.

​

Please, be polite—both in words and attitude. The DMBC staff endeavour to interact with our students politely. It is required that students also interact with ALL other students, teachers and members accordingly. "Good morning, please, thank you, excuse me..." are expected of you. It's important to be polite.

Expletives/cussing/swearing/bad words are strictly prohibited (not allowed). Please, do not repeat such words to retell or criticize situations where they have been used. Do not use symbols to represent such words either.

​

Do not give misleading or false information to us. If you find yourself in a tough spot, talk to us, and, we will do whatever we can to help. In exceptional circumstances, you might be exempt (excused) from giving certain information, instead of giving false information. Likewise, do not lie or commit fraud when interacting with other students or community members.

Plagiarism is the theft of other people's intellectual work such as poetry, research, or essays. It is where one uses someone else's work and lies outright that he wrote it, or passes it off as his own. This is not only morally wrong but is also a crime. All exams and assignments must be done by the named student. Otherwise, such work will be automatically marked as zero. Likewise, do not lie that a post is your own work when it not; these will be removed once discovered. Plagiarism can result in suspension or expulsion.

We want Disciple Makers Bible College to be a safe, peaceful, and enjoyable environment for all students, staff, and visitors; thus, intimidation, hate, and harassment from anyone will be dealt with swiftly. Please, report such behaviour.

Bullying is where a person is targeted and treated with hate, mockery, intolerance, or abuse by one or more people. It takes many forms; whereby, many bullies even play the victim in order to justify their actions. If you witness bullying against anyone (member or visitor) at Disciple Makers Bible College, please, report it. We will investigate, cut it out, and give you feedback. If necessary, we will call upon the police or other authorities to intervene in certain cases.

We may not always agree, but we should always be tolerant, respectful, and kind to each other. It is fine to have healthy criticism and debates from time to time. However, if these cause arguments and hurt others, they will not be allowed. Posts and discussions that BREED division, controversies, and arguments will not be allowed. Please, do not post or discuss CONTROVERSIAL politics, ethnic disagreements, sexual posts, etc. Posts that 'speak against' yet show pictures of fatal accidents, dead bodies, or sexual behaviour will be deleted and the author warned, or banned if he does not stop. Mocking or belittling others who are different will not be tolerated.

Please, be 5 minutes early for classes and other meetings, so everyone can start on time and avoid repeating things for latecomers. Download and get familiar with the meeting rooms and practice signing in before the meeting. However, we understand that the internet is not always reliable—please, let your teacher know if this is the case.

If you cannot attend your meeting, please, notify the teacher/host as soon as possible, preferably, at least the day before class, so the teacher/host's time is not wasted. Frequent or unauthorized absences may result in your classes being discontinued. Again, it's best to speak with us if you are having difficulties so we can work out other arrangements. 

Students do not have to turn the video on during meetings. However, if you put it on, please, ensure that you are dressed modestly/decently. The same applies for your posts with videos and photos; everyone in them should be dressed decently. No nude, half-naked, or indecent photos are allowed.

Disciple will keep the personal information that you supply to us privately and securely. Be careful with the personal information that you share in our online community.  Likewise, do not share personal or sensitive information about other students or community members to which you may be privy to.

Parents and guardians may quietly observe underage students during online classes. However, parents should not disrupt the class or take part unless the teacher permits it. Note, other people are not allowed to be in classes unless the teacher gives permission. Do not give out meeting room numbers and passwords to outsiders. To protect the privacy and dignity of our teachers and your fellow students, you are also not allowed to publish your video recordings online, except in circumstances where everyone involved consents to the recording being published, and the teacher or school gives written permission for its publication.

It is the student's responsibility to ensure that he does not disrupt meetings with background noises. Please, either use a quiet place, or mute your microphone when necessary. 

We value and protect the safety of all members. No harmful or intimidating behaviour which endangers the wellbeing of our community members will be allowed. Persons who willfully or carelessly endanger others will be disciplined or removed from our community.

Beware of scamming! Do not give out your personal information, address, bank details, etc. to other community members or people claiming to work for us. We will never ask you to pay for any classes. We will never email, call, or pressure you to make donations. Be vigilant with your personal safety. If you suspect scamming, please, report it.
